Bandmaster H. E. Allen, the leader of the well known Nanaimo Silver Cornet band, has joined the 143rd Battalion, CEF, the British Columbia Bantams, commanded by Lt.-Col. A. Bruce Powley, and will lead the band being formed by the unit. Bandmaster Allen of the Bantams...is one of the be best-known musicians of British Columbia. Read more here.
